I finally got my code so I could download it, yay! I'd love it whether I'd bought it normally or paid a nominal fee to download it. Isn't it lovely?
Someone on the Guardian podcast suggested that it is the sound of Radiohead being happy. Do you think the method of delivery has effected your response to it? I reckon it's just made me feel more well disposed towards Radiohead than I was before. Did you enjoy Andrew's Greenwood toast story?
It's a gorgeous album. There is a warmth and new found confidence in their sound. I found myself missing my stop on the bus this afternoon as I sat, miles away, headphones on... I'm very happy with this album.
Radiohead being happy? It almost makes me want to hear some of it. Sorry - this isn't really a dig at Radiohead, just gloomy music of which I am none too fond.
you should give it a listen, Gwen. I'm far from the world's biggest Radiohead fan, but I sat in a traffic jam on Friday grinning my head off to it and not caring how long it took me to get home, seems to be quite special.
